Stephen Ministry at Christ the King Lutheran Church

Stephen Ministry trains lay people to provide confidential, one-on-one, Christian care to individuals in our congregation and community who are experiencing the difficulties of life. These Stephen Ministers are ready to provide the emotional and spiritual care we need when faced with a crisis or difficulty, such as:
Illness/Hospitalization Relocation
Loss of a Loved One Challenges of Aging
Empty Nest Loneliness/discouragement
Separation/Divorce Spiritual Crises
Job Loss/Financial Difficulties Birth/Adoption/Miscarriage
What we do:
Pastors will always be on the front lines of care, especially during times of crisis. But there are always many more needs for ongoing, one-on-one care than pastors can effectively meet by themselves. Stephen Ministry provides a biblical solution – equipping God’s people for ministry. This ministry is completely confidential.
Think of Stephen Ministers as the "after” people --
… after you find the pink slip in what’s now your final paycheck;
… after the doctors have said there’s nothing more they can do;
… after the relationship ends but the wounds are still bleeding;
… after family and friends have heard your story one too many times but
you still need to talk it out.
